Build Guide

Description:

This build is meant for newer players who have just hit world tier 5. Players can start easily clearing the basic content on world tier 5, like HVTs (High risk will require group), Lz Bosses, UG and Challenging missions(group) using this build.

The playstyle in this build will be primarily staying Mid-Range to Close-Range. Assault Rifles are the archetype you are looking for here as they excel at both of these ranges. Aiming skills are a major thing in a striker (esp. non-classified), If you find yourself not being accurate enough, increase stability on the gun or if it still doesn’t help switch to a different set. Striker, even the normal version, will absolutely shred if played correctly at all times.

This build requires 4 striker and 2 Nomad pieces, they needn’t be the same type as mentioned above, i.e. you can switch them around till the final outcome is 4 striker pieces and 2 nomad pieces equipped. EAD and DTE are one of the best sources of damage in PvE, hence your aim is to stack it the most; while having a decent amount of HoK to survive.

Your Primary aim is to achieve atleast 4790 Firearms and Dump rest into Stamina

Primary Weapon:

Lwm4/LVOA are the primary weapon of choice, while being extremely easy to control, they have easily predictable recoil patterns which allow you to aim properly. A high rpm also allows you to gain stacks quickly.

  • Destructive is extremely strong in PvE and will allow you to damage way faster.
  • Responsive is another great source of Damage and is one of the best talents to go far in both PvE and PvP. The caveat here being it will only work under 10m, hence your aim is to stay close whenever possible.
  • Determined is an optional talent, it will allow to you to recharge your skills and ultimate even quickly. It can also be switched for Predatory to provide more sustain.

Secondary Weapon:

Lwm4/LVOA are again the guns to go for here, for the same reasons stated above. What’s different here is that the talent in free slot is Ferocious, this gun will be more focusing on damage unlike the primary gun which will provide some utility. Switch to this gun when you just need that extra bit of Damage.

Alternative Weapons:

ACR, G36 are nice alternates while being less effective compared to Lwm4/LVOA can be used till a nice version of lwm4/lvoa are found.

Navy MP5 or MP5 ST are the versions you look for if you are looking to run SMGs instead of AR. Do bear in mind that running 2 SMG isn’t a good idea in case you have a fight at long distance as is the case in many parts of this game.

Shotguns like SASG are also extremely useful for getting stacks quickly, they are extremely preferential, as many like to play with them while many don’t, a lwm4/lvoa will get stacks at a similar rate to them. Again bear in mind, 2 Shotguns isn’t a good idea for the same reasons as stated above for SMG.

LMG aren’t extremely strong without LoneStar but in case you want to run one, a MG5 should work fine till you find a nice AR.

Sidearm:

You want a Double Barrel Sawed off with predatory here in case you don’t run it in primary gun, in situations where you need a bit more healing, you can deal the final blow from the shotgun to activate predatory and go back to primary/secondary on activating predatory.

Skills:

Overdose

Overdose will provide you with the best healing in this case. Defibrillator and Booster Shot are to be avoided at all costs as they will barely provide you with any heals.

Gas Seeker

Gas seeker is one of the best ways to crowd control, i.e. control mobs from either shooting or rushing you, just throw one and see the mobs stand up to get shot at by you.

Flash Sticky

In case of distance being too long range, a gas seeker can be switched to flash sticky. It’s extremely useful flashing snipers who get suppressed easily under the continuous fire of fast firing guns.

Recovery Link

This is basically a free second chance for you when solo. If you have a gun with determined, you will find it recharging extremely quickly once used.

Character Talents:

Critical Save

Helps you survive easily in a dangerous situation.

Strike Back

Will help you get back your skill quickly in case of dangerous situations.

On the Move

This is one of the best talents which will increase your survivability by tons if used correctly. Just make it a habit to move a bit while landing the final shots on a npc.

Steady Hands

As this is a beginner build, I am assuming that the new players will have some trouble aiming properly…. This talent is extremely useful bringing your gun under control. Once you have become comfortable with the gun switch steady hands for one of the talents mention below:

  • One is None: Great utility talent, allows you to keep firing for longer... needs aim to be extremely precise as you will be going for headshots will trying to not miss at the same time
  • Precision: Another great utility talent, pulses the target for hitting a headshot. Requires less skill compared to One is None.
