There is something about destroying a group of NPCs with a single Sticky Bomb that just feels so good. The same could be said with having Seeker Mines bleed out enemies who are trying to run away, it’s just so much fun! The best build to be able to do this is in my opinion is the Tactician. Now, this is the first Classified where I don’t run all six pieces. I don’t find the full classified set to be logical at this point of time. So instead, to increase the Skill Power I run an Invective backpack. The whole goal of this build is to have as much Skill Power into our Gear. We don’t really want to get into gun fights, we want our talents to do all the killing. A big way I play this build is cover to cover movements and not taking damage to take advantage of the Inventive Backpack. We’re also not going to put much value in the stacks that the four piece gear bonus gives us. So because of this we’re going to go all into Electronics and Skill Power everywhere we can. So we should easily be over 10k in Electronics. Along with the skills we’re going to use World Tier 3 weapons to gain some extra damage and unlock some perks we wouldn’t be able to with regular weapons. I’m also going to assume that you know what stats and perks the Tactician gear set gives us as I explain the build. Before I get started I just wanted to thank you for reading this build and taking the time to give it a look. I really appreciate it and I hope you find it helpful or at least it gives you some ideas on how to build yours. So let’s get started with the build!
Chest: We don’t have a lot of toughness so putting Health here helps out a little bit. Skill Haste is always a must in electronics build. I personally put Increased Kill XP since this is a PVE build.
Mask: Skill Power because we want to have as much of it as we can. Damage to Elites is something that is preferred at every available slot, even if it’s a skill build. It skill helps with damage.
Kneepads: Skill Power and Damage to Elites to stack with the other gear. The rest of the minor slots can be your preference. I like having Burn and Shock Resistance.
Backpack: Inventive - Skill Power once again and Burn Resistance. Having an Inventive backpack will increase our skill power damage by 15% which is amazing.
Gloves: Now with gloves Skill Haste, Enemy Armor Damage and Assault Rifle Damage is the ideal rolls you want. Luck is a big this to do with this but gloves has always been the hardest gear to get right with all builds.
Holster: Unlike the gloves, holster is extremely easy to get a good roll. Because there is only one attribute. Skill Haste is the easy option here.
Gear Mods: Skill Power mods and all 5 should be Electronics.
Performance Mods: Only one option for this, Seeker Mine Damage. You could go into Sticky Bomb Damage but that is already going to be powerful. Adding into Seeker Mine damage is going to make it a lot more effective.
The way you set up your weapons is very important and having specific World Tier 3 Assault Rifle is very beneficial to the build as well.
Lightweight M4: This weapon is only here to handle the NPCs that rush you. So to defend yourself a LWM4 is great to quickly do solid damage. For the Third perk I like having Responsive or Ferocious. Mainly responsive for that close combat. The other perks you should want is Competent for the additional 10% damage and Talented to help out with more Skill Power for the Seeker Mines. With the weapon mods I like having stability in the hand stop, headshot damage in the scope/suppressor and the extended mag with rate of fire. With all the minors I try to set it up with added stability. I really like having my weapon feel like a laser.
Stat Stick: This is where you have to get a specific type of weapon. It has to be a World Tier 3 assault rifle. Doesn’t matter which one or even having weapon mods on it. Just one that has Predatory in the free slot then Ferocious and Destructive in the other slots. Having a WT3 weapons help meet the requirements to unlock those weapon talents which add more Sticky Bomb and Seeker Mine damage. In addition, having Predatory is so helpful because without it we would have to rely on medkits to gain our health back. To utilize the invective backpack in its best way, we want to be at full health the majority of the time.
Skills and Talents are pretty simple. Sticky Bomb and Cluster Seeker Mines are the two skills we’ll be using the majority of the time. I do occasionally switch Sticky Bomb with Active Sensor Turret to have it gain stacks for me but not often. With Talents I like having Critical Save, Shrapnel for the bleed that the Seeker Mines cause, Demolition Expert and Chain Reaction work so well together. They are a must in Tactician builds.
To wrap things up, the build completely changes the way you play and think about the game. To maximize the effectiveness and damage you want to think about how you approach each encounter while trying not to take damage. It’s a breath of fresh air as playing the face tanking meta can sometimes get old. If you think of something else that is helpful that I didn’t mention in the build, let me know at Twitter.com/WhoaGambit. I hope you guys enjoy the build and have fun!
