Build Guide

There are many reasons I have titled this the Versatile Defense Build.  For starters, it can be used in both PvE and PvP.  It can be used solo or in a group.  It is tank while not lacking damage.

The overall appeal of this build is that you can mix and match different pieces where you see fit.  You can swap Ammo Cache Station for Flashbang (or EMP) to help with cooldowns and managing ammo.  Or, swap Survivor for Recovery and give your team even longer damage mitigation.

This build can farm Resistance with ease, it can manhunt in a group, or it can just help a weaker team get through some tough Legendaries.

The core concepts of this build are simple:

  1. Trade some shield resilience for damage mods to augment low firearms.
  2. Sacrifice Skill Haste for more Crit Chance to increase your overall potency and allow resilience to Pred Bleed. 
  3. Allow your team to do the heavy lifting with skills and just focus on your Sig, Shield Health and protecting your Squishes.
  4. Use mobs and finishers to farm health and cooldowns with your secondary SMG while the first one focuses on damage.

As long as you maintain the same gun talents, you can use any guns you want (save for Exotics as the secondary SMG). 

One thing I know will get attention is the Flashbang Sticky.  I suggested this for a handful of reasons:

  1. Disrupt pauses Striker stacks, which can be more beneficial than detrimental.
  2. Most people don't run Flash Resist.
  3. It causes stagger.
  4. Great for PvE.
  5. To mix things up from the norm.
